Alright... So I have decided to start a new blog seeing as how I have not posted on the old one for so long. I plan on doing video blogs as well, but I need to get that art down before I force you all to watch them. (Yes, force)
Just a little update on my life as a single mom/student/firefighter/EMT/super awesome person... Life is CRAZY! Seriously. I am usually working like crazy. When I'm not doing that, I am pulling shifts at the fire station (kinda been slacking there due to work, but the tables are turning in that department) I will start school again next term to prepare for paramedic school next fall... YAY! Sisters Fire Department picked me up as a student, which is AWESOME! So 1/3 of my life will be spent there... and that's cool with me.
Christian is doing amazing. He is scheduled for a heart cath on November 4th, and we will be video documenting that and sharing it with you all. (Not the actual procedure, but the trip and the recovery) He is such a trooper. We have not set a date, but his 3rd open heart surgery will be in December. Please start praying now for his health and for a quick recovery. His birthday is November 13th and he will be the big 4 years old! Time flies! He is weighing in at 27lbs... Tiny for his age, but in all other respects, he is completely normal! I thank God every day that he was born without the myriad of other health issues that usually accompany his heart condition.
We carved our pumpkins last night and had a blast! Christian is really excited for Halloween this year. He is going out as a police officer... I will post pictures Tuesday morning-ish and show you all how adorable he is...
Speaking of cops... Please always use a hands-free device while driving! I was driving to work this morning and, being the rebel that I am, was talking on my phone. Well, the moto-cop coming the other direction caught me and pulled me over... After a LONG and CRAZY series of events, my ticket totaled $746! Yeah, YIKES! Oh, and my car was impounded. I know! Turns out that during my move and switching of banks, my insurance didn't get the automatic payment... and I didn't get the notice for it because of my mail not all being forwarded yet. So, another $260 to get my car back after fixing the insurance issue on top of the fines! What a day. Thanks Officer Dickerson! (Yes, that is his actual name) Moral of Nicole's bad day? Use a hands free device and be more organized when it comes to moving. Good news is that all but $297 of the fines will be dropped if I go to court.
I've ranted enough for now. Have a fabulous rest of your week and stay tuned for more exciting news from my crazy, fun, unique life!
